July 2008 Wasabi v2 chips can be upgraded to
D2E
- A DVD
Upgrade will be released next week that allows any D2C2 compatible
Wasabi to be upgraded to the D2E compatible version using an old
drive. No external programmer required, the update can be run on
drives from DMS to D2C2.

D2E compatible version of D2pro released.
- A new version of d2pro (identifiable with the
blue 'D2E' sticker) has now been released and shipments are on their
way to distributors. D2E drives have already started to appear in
the Japanese market, however it will be a while before they reach
Europe.

Wasabi release D2E compatible wii chip
- The first batch of
D2E compatible Wasabi chips have started to be distributed to
resellers. The chip will be in VQ100 FPGA packaging and can be
identified by the sticker above
- Wasabi has been the
first universal mod chip released after the introduction of D2C
drives, and once again are the first team to offer a chip compatible
with DMS, D2B, D2C, D2C2 and D2E drives.

Wasabi first to hack the D2E.

They are the successors of D2C2 drives
and there is speculation this could be an immediate reaction to
Wasabi's 9-wire patching method. The D2E drives have been spotted in
Japan, but it will take a while for the new chipsets to reach Europe
